Data Center Infrastructure Engineer, Hkg - Dco

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon, with a key focus on expanding its footprints in APAC in recent years.
We are seeking talented engineers who can take ownership, are eager to learn, and are self-motivated. The successful candidate shall follow Amazon Data Center processes and maintain high operational standards in supporting server and network hardware and software. They need to adapt to a fast and constantly changing environment and will require shift work including weekends and holidays.

Key job responsibilities
The responsibilities include:

7x24 roster duty in data center operationsIncident first responder and onsite hands-on supportBreak-fix and troubleshooting according to process guidelinesMaintain proper media operations according to process guidelinesCapacity landing and decommissioning according to process guidelinesSite management and maintain tidiness in operation areasInnovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Good attention to detail
- Degree / High Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines
- 1 year experience in server / network hardware and operating systems maintenance / troubleshooting.
- Experience in network cabling including optical.
- Sound understanding of incident response and prioritization.

Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in Data Center Operations
- Knowledge of data center networking
- Knowledge of cloud computing
- Knowledge of continuous process improvement
- Literacy in security and customer data protection
