Overview Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services.
As a CO+I Electrical Engineer within the Data Center Operations team, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Qualifications Required Qualifications: Proven relevant and related technical engineering experience.
OR Bachelor in Technology Management and Marine Engineering, or related field AND some related technical engineering experience.
OR Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field AND some related technical engineering experience.
OR equivalent experience.
Ability to conduct business in English.
Background Check Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Understand the design and functionality of your Datacenters.
Work alongside a team of industry professionals across the Information Technology (IT) and Critical Environments (CE) spectrum to support 24x7x365 on-site Datacenter operations and electrical infrastructures.
Responsible for electrical infrastructure post-incident processes and RCAs.
Identify, evaluate and propose mitigation/resolution plans to operational risks.
Oversee, plan and develop new or update preexisting emergency operating procedures (EOPs), methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Act as the technical authority for on-site operations of large-scale electrical and monitor/control (EPMS) systems, designs, and projects.
Guide, oversee, and support various types of maintenance (e.g., planned, predictive, corrective) and repairs following methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Be responsible for ensuring critical equipment is maintained to statutory and regulatory requirements, manufacturers recommendations, and Microsoft internal maintenance standards.
Establish and coordinate maintenance & safety procedures, maintaining redundant high-capacity HV and LV systems, Transformers, Generators, STS/ATS, UPS systems, and other electrical systems.
Have a hands-on understanding of how equipment works and how to troubleshoot equipment, systems, subsystems, and components independently, supervising on-site high-risk activities.
Assist in capacitation and training processes.
Participate in Commissioning processes.
