Our team has an opportunity for a Data Annotation Specialist to work on projects in the Research and Development Organization in the Health and Life Sciences Platform Team.
The annotation specialist will be transcribing, translating, and editing medical records and reports in various European languages, such as German, French, and Dutch.
The annotation specialist needs to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in their target language or multiple languages (polyglot), as well as a solid understanding of medical terminology, healthcare documentation, and country-specific standards and regulations.
The annotation specialist also needs to coordinate with different stakeholders from Data, Research, and Supplier teams to provide feedback, update guidelines, and monitor quality and progress of tasks.
The role requires the ability to communicate fluently and accurately in both spoken and written forms, and that they can handle complex and specialized vocabulary, grammar, and syntax.
They also need to have a good command of English, as they will have to work with source documents and instructions in English and communicate with their supervisors, colleagues, and stakeholders in English.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Data Annotation Transcribing, translating, and editing medical records and reports in various European languages, such as German, French, and Dutch.
Maintain/update guidelines as necessary for the projects or languages in alignment with the stakeholders and product teams.
Keep track of quality standards and ensure thresholds are met against all projects.
Feedback Sharing and Monitoring Quality Follow the process for Feedback Sharing with the Suppliers and track action items as required.
Monitor quality of documents against the guidelines provided and keep track of progress.
Communicate status updates periodically to supervisor, stakeholders, and suppliers.
Timely escalations as appropriate on non-compliance or not meeting delivery standards.
Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a medical-related field with at least 2+ years' work experience in healthcare documentation specific to EU countries or regions.
Fluent in German, French, or Dutch languages.
Or equivalent experience working in hospital networks with deep knowledge in healthcare documentation requirements for EU countries or regions.
Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
The requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications Master's Degree or equivalent in Healthcare with at least 3+ years' work experience in healthcare documentation specific to EU countries or regions.
Fluency in other European languages to include German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.
Or equivalent experience working in hospital networks with deep knowledge in healthcare documentation requirements for EU countries or regions.
Certifications in coding, Medical Scribing, or equivalent.
