DESCRIPTION: Amazon is seeking a Data Analyst with experience in tax and technology.
In this job you will be working very closely with our indirect tax compliance customers and technology partners.
You will be supporting complex data solutions that underpin the reporting for Amazon indirect tax.
As a Data Analyst, you will be expected to have solid data management experience, strong skills data querying skills and understanding of tax and accounting principles to support indirect tax compliance teams across the globe.
Key job responsibilities • Support indirect tax colleagues with data requests, data questions and/or extracting data on their behalf, where standard reports do not meet their requirements.
• Improve existing processes by automating and reducing manual work.
• Collaborate with our technology partners to innovate and maintain complex business and data solutions.
• Hands-on detailed data research and analysis of a large financial data sets; investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues.
• Implement projects to optimize data operations.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Work with our key technology providers to support technology upgrades, migrations, etc.
• Create and maintain dashboards used by tax compliance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Substantial experience in data management or business analytics work - Substantial experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field - Intermediate/advanced SQL query writing skills - Experience creating business intelligence reports - Advanced Excel skills - Experience delivering cross-functional projects - Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders - Bachelor's degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with Spain SII (Immediate Supply of Information) electronic reporting - Experience using Python for data transformation and data analysis Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
