Join Our Data Team at Ebury's Madrid Office. Ebury's strategic growth plan would not be possible without our Data Analytics & Reporting team and we are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Finance domain!
Our data mission is to develop and maintain Ebury's Data Platform and serve it to the whole company. This platform is the backbone of Ebury: it supports internal decision making, allows us to comply with Regulatory and Financial reporting obligations and enables commercial opportunities globally.
The Data team works closely with Finance and Product teams to coordinate and automate Financial reporting across all jurisdictions as well as consolidated. We also help Finance processes automating them where possible to reduce costs and increase team efficiency. Some of the finance projects we are currently working on include: building a centralised revenue reporting framework to consolidate all financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, automating the Financial Planning of Ebury Global from the data warehouse, data connection to the accounting system to provide financial statements across all jurisdictions and increase visibility and automation of Financial reporting to Senior management and many more!

As part of the team you will
Work closely with the rest of the Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, Data Engineering, Finance controllers, Finance specialists and Financial Regulatory Reporting team
Be responsible for modelling data in our collaborative data platform to build critical financial reports
Manage end-to-end finance solutions across all jurisdictions of the company from requirements gathering, building optimised data models and delivering the reports to our finance stakeholders and auditors
Maintain and build dashboards and visualisations on the data platform using our BI tools for Senior management and finance specialists
What we're looking for
2+ years of experience in Data/Business Analytics - applied to Finance is a plus!
Advanced SQL skills - must be able to read and write complex SQL queries
Experience with our modern data stack tools (a plus!) We use dbt, Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, LookerStudio), Looker
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
The ability to manage, organise and present data in a clear, concise and actionable format
Experience working with Python is a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
Track record of working autonomously with time management skills
Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)
Financial Reporting experience is desirable but not mandatory
Financial Services and Capital Markets Experience (FX, Payments, Money Markets, Treasury Management, etc) is desirable but not mandatory
