About the Role
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our data governance efforts. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading a Team: Manage and inspire a team of data issue & quality management experts, driving governance excellence across the Swiss Re Group.Framework Accountability: Oversee the central data issue management framework and solutions, ensuring they meet stakeholder requirements.Quality Control: Develop and maintain a robust data quality control framework and monitoring system.KPI Development: Design and evolve a comprehensive Data Quality KPIs framework to track and enhance data quality continuously.Advanced Tools Utilization: Leverage state-of-the-art tools to track data issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal Tech and Business stakeholders at all levels to integrate data issue management and quality standards into the overall data governance framework.Best Practice and Culture Promotion: Foster a culture of data quality and accountability through stakeholder engagement, training, and consulting.Stay on top of the latest developments: Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and regulatory changes impacting data quality.About the Team
Our department, part of Group Data Services, is committed to strengthening data and AI governance practices across Swiss Re. We are the global focus point of data governance, operating from Zurich, Bratislava, and Bangalore, focusing on meeting regulatory requirements and enhancing data issue management and quality control.
About You
Educational Background: University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is a must.
Proven Expertise: Demonstrated experience in data management and data quality leadership roles.
Framework Knowledge: Skilled in leading data issue management and quality frameworks and solutions.
Governance Principles: Strong understanding of data governance principles. Knowledge of the DAMA framework desirable.
Tool Proficiency: Expertise in data management platforms and tools, including data profiling, quality tools, data visualization tools, and relational databases.
Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate within a global network of data experts.
