The Design Manager is responsible for delivering all design-related processes and mechanisms, with the ultimate goal of launching new ATS Sortation Centers (Build To Suit, Retrofit, Extensions and Initiatives) across EU UK.The Design Manager is responsible for delivering design optimizations that improve HS, sustainability, associate experience, and costs of Transportation Engineering Services construction program.Would you like an opportunity to travel and work in multiple countries and cultures?The role will be based in Spain with 20% of time traveling either domestically or to other EU countries or UK.Key job responsibilitiesATS design standards development, validation, approval and bi-yearly updateDesign reviews across 5 stages of each project's lifecycle, including due diligence, test fits layout approval as the basis of site selectionReview of regulatory requirements across EU and UKTechnical subject matter expert for TES preconstruction/construction team on design topics through Office hoursTechnical lead on strategic value engineering concepts aiming at improving ATS building designContinuous design change process improvementsAbout the teamWe are a diverse team where we value creativity, innovation, and open communication.
We learn and support each other to achieve our goals.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degreeExperience in project management, real estate development, architecture/designPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in architecture or engineeringExperience operating within at least two disciplines in the construction industry, which could consist of General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering Design, owners project management representative or similarDemonstrated capability in the planning, design review implementation, and project management/control of new structures the enhancement of existing facility buildingsExperience managing multi-disciplinary design incorporating industrial automation, robotics, or similarStrong influencing and negotiating skillsDemonstrated success in communicating to various audiences (e.g.
senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.
