Accor is currently looking for a Legal Counsel & Data Protection Iberia to join our offices in Madrid, reporting directly to the Legal Director of Accor Iberia. You will take part in a dynamic team, with a variety of cross-departmental and international projects. This is a highly international and valued position. Since it works closely with our Legal colleagues at Southern Europe level and Accor's branded hotels (both managed and franchised) in Spain & Portugal, fluent in Portuguese, Spanish & English (C1) is mandatory. Experience in Portuguese as well as Spanish legislations is also mandatory.
As it will be necessary to be a member of any Bachelor Association in Portugal and be able to draft and approve the Powers of Attorney needed within the Portuguese subsidiaries.
WHAT IS THE JOB?
His/her main missions are:
Provide general legal advice to internal / external stakeholders;Support the region in the Portuguese issues and files.Review and draft of Development, Sales, Procurement contracts and any other contract/document signed by Accor in Spain & Portugal when relevant.Collaborate with the other lawyers and colleagues in the Hub and in the Accor network in different projects and procedures.Maintenance of a database of leases, management and franchise agreements through a Group central information system ("CMT");Maintenance of the Accor Iberia legal intranet: legal updates and rolling out of internal policies and delegation policy.
As a Regional Data Protection Coordinator:
Work closely with both Legal Director Iberia and the Accor Group's Data Protection Officer (DPO) located in France, in order to deploy the Group's Data protection policies, and implement the necessary tools for this deployment, in particular the Binding Corporate Rules (BCR);Being the point of contact of the various internal departments for projects involving the personal data processing;Ensuring compliance of activities within the region in matters of personal data protection, data security and confidentiality;Advising the different operational staff on personal data processing and regarding the management of any formalities relating to processing;Conduct audits;Relationship with both external authorities and third parties. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Law Master's degree in Portugal: 5- 7 year experience in legal positions, ideally mix of in-house and private practice.Member of any Bachelor Association in Portugal and be able to draft and approve the Powers of Attorney needed within the Portuguese subsidiaries.Ample experience working in international environments.Proven focus on and ties with business, strategic vision, and a track record serving as a business partner.Strong understanding in commercial law.Good knowledge in corporate and litigation law.Knowledge of legislative requirements on personal data protection.C1 in Portuguese, Spanish & English is mandatory. French is a highly valued.
