Performs electrical work in connection with the installation, maintenance repair of electrical systems, equipment and appliances. Under limited supervision and in compliance with the specifications keeps in operation the manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities:Repairs and provides preventive maintenance to all production equipment and troubleshoots facilities equipment when needed.Responsible for correcting machine problems to minimize downtime.Read diagrams, sketches, blueprints, operation manuals and manufacturing specifications.May operate drill press, grinders, welding equipment and other tools to make repairs.Documentation of the PM's and work orders in Maximo or applicable quality documents & logbooks.Work together with outside contractor giving service to manufacturing equipment.Installation and startup of new equipment as requested by the supervisor.Assembles and installs any electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in manufacturing area.Follow current compliance regulations and standards.Supports ETHICON Production System (EPS) by identifying, evaluating and resolving problems.Understands and adheres to ETHICON Production System (EPS) Principles and Rules.Perform special projects of the same responsibility as instructed by the supervisor to achieve company goals. Qualifications:Associates Degree in Electronic Technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or related technical field and 2 years of experience in a regulated industry required.Bachelor's degree in electronic technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or related technical field preferred.Strong electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge and troubleshooting skills preferred.Basic PLC knowledge and ability to read schematics is preferred.Experience in an automated industrial environment preferred.Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.Electrician Licensed preferred.PC literacy including MS Office and use of other software and applications preferred.MAXIMO knowledge highly desirable.Basic Metrology, Basic Statistics, Analytic Troubleshooting (ATS), Technical Writing and Good Documentation Practices are required.Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.
