We are looking for an organized, proactive, and decisive person for the Admin and Accounting area for LACOSTE Groups' subsidiaries in Spain and Portugal.To implement and improve the accounting processes of the company, as well as to participate in the different projects set by the Group, we want a flexible and committed Deputy Head of Accounting to join our team, giving support to the Head of Accounting.
Reporting directly to the Head of Accounting:Support month-end and year-end close processAccounting day-to-day transactions on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollHandling accruals and prepaymentsAnalyze financial information, summarize financial status, produce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsPrepare financial statements and provide inputs for budgeting purposesAssist with tax audits and tax returnsDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP principlesSupport internal and external audits to ensure complianceProvide technical support and adviceReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingSupport Head of Accounting in planning, reviewing, and coordinating accounting assistants and bookkeepersCoordinate the implementation of new SAP modulesProduce and monitor cash flow analysisPerfil: Proven experience in accounting minimum 5 years.
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and best practices.
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Hands-on experience with SAP and Hyperion.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
Relevant certification (e.g.
CMA or CPA) will be preferred.
Interpersonal skills.
Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
