Our client is currently in search of a Cybersecurity Engineer in the vibrant city of Barcelona.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and maintain our automation platform, ensuring it operates effectively and efficiently. Additionally, the engineer will handle alert triage, ticket management, incident response and security tasks, playing a critical role in protecting our organization's digital assets.
Tasks Your responsibilities and impact working as a Cybersecurity Engineer will be: Develop, deploy, and maintain security automation solutions.
Optimize and update existing automation workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with other teams to integrate security automation into various systems and processes.
Monitor the performance of automation tools and troubleshoot any issues.
Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.).
Conduct initial assessment and triage of security alerts to determine their severity and potential impact.
Create, update, and manage incident tickets in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation.
Escalate incidents to appropriate teams or personnel as needed.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, tools, and technologies.
Participate in the identification, design and deployment of new features that enhance our security posture.
Work closely with IT, DevOps, and other relevant teams to ensure security is integrated into all processes.
Requirements Skills, qualifications, and interests you need to succeed in this role: Experience with scripting languages - Python and PowerShell.
Experience with automation tools/platforms.
Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security technologies.
Familiarity with cloud security in Azure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
