Individuals in this job position perform work at the entry-level within this job family. OT Security Specialist II are IT Security specialists. They demonstrate the ability to clearly express and share ideas and risks, both verbally and written, positively and effectively, with their supervisor and team members. Effective in communicating status to the team. Demonstrates confidence and active listening to confirm understanding of the deliverable. They act within well-defined policies. The standard focus is on existing products or processes. OT Security Specialist II is seen as an individual contributor within their team. They are competent at managing their time, have interpersonal and collaboration skills. They do not manage other individuals and are typically closely managed. The decisions they make impact their team or specific area of support. As individual contributors, they are considered members of a group or team focused on delivering business goals by following structured processes and procedures to deliver results. They will work on isolated tasks where they are solely responsible for the work - their contribution is measured by their ability to complete the work assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities Strong knowledge of basic manufacturing business processes in a globally connected environment. Concrete understanding of OT security concepts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to ensure OT security requirements are met. Work in a team environment, accepting and evaluating team input to analyze OT security problems, and providing mentoring to junior team members. Work on various internal projects/initiatives with internal and cross-functional teams as a primary OT security contact. Work with OT security product vendors to participate in proof-of-concept reviews to evaluate new technologies. Stay up to date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the OT security landscape and effectively communicate to team members. Strong knowledge of networking, OS, manufacturing, and application concepts. Strong knowledge of OT security principles, both on-premises and cloud-based. Provide Tier 2 support to OT security systems currently implemented in the environment. Strong understanding and ability to use IT and OT security tools for investigations. Able to identify critical vulnerabilities and coordinate with OT teams to remediate discovered vulnerabilities. Design and implement security controls and measures to protect OT systems from cyber threats. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for OT environments. Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure alignment of security measures across the organization. Utilize security tools and technologies to detect and respond to security incidents. Investigate and analyze security incidents, identifying the root cause and implementing corrective actions. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to mitigate the impact of security incidents. Qualifications 7-10 years of IT or a related discipline experience. Analytical and conceptual skills. Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing. Knowledge of a broad range of standards and frameworks — for example, International Standards Organization (ISO) 27001, NIST, IT Infrastructure Library, IEC 62443, and ISO 20000 family. Must have solid OT systems and process orientation. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings. Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge. Must be comfortable working remotely and lack of face-to-face time with colleagues and managers. A high degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
