BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science under one roof and currently has over 1000 staff from 60 countries.Context And Mission : The funding for these actions/fellowships and contracts comes from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility - Next Generation.Key Duties Conduct high-quality researchPublish in high impact journals and conferencesPresent research at national and international conferences and meetingsCollaborate with various research groups across Europe and elsewhereHelp supervise PhD and MSc studentsParticipate in grant writing and organizational activitiesParticipate in educational and outreach activitiesRequirements Education : PhD, MSc and BSc in a quantitative discipline are required (physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, bioinformatics, or similar)Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience : Good academic and publication record for the career stageAdditional Knowledge and Professional Experience : Good technical skills including at least several of the following: machine learning, algorithms, data analysis, graph, network and complexity theory, scientific computing, statistics, programming in C, C++, a scripting language and Matlab, using a parallel computing environment, bioinformatics, network biology, network medicine, network analytics, medical informaticsFluency in English is essential.
