Job Description Primary Function of Position: This training professional will deliver da Vinci and Ion technology training, as well as facilitate surgeon and physician-led training for surgeons, physicians, first assistants, and OR staff from various surgical specialties, including urology, gynecology, general, thoracic, and cardiothoracic surgery. In addition, the Customer Trainer Specialist will be actively involved in the continuous improvement of training programs and provide support for customer training, engineering, and training research initiatives. The Customer Trainer will report directly to the Training Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities: Conduct da Vinci and Ion training programs for surgeons, physicians, and their care teams at designated training centers and remote centers.Lead and support specialized training programs and Society events, including supporting the needs of the surgeon educators and course participants.Conduct surveys to gather data and measure program effectiveness.Act as subject matter expert for internal projects, as needed.Work with the Training team in a creative, dependable, and flexible manner to improve existing training programs.Occasional support of the da Vinci System in a hospital operating room.Manage training center logistics, inventory, training calendars, and maintain accurate training records for course participants.Maintain all capital equipment, including but not limited to the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and accessories.Support positive relationships between external training center personnel and ISI management.Contribute to the organization's quarterly goal achievements.Develop competency in da Vinci technology, applications, and advanced technology.Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany, after appropriate training, as per legal requirement.Maintain competency and currency on technology training protocol following the onboarding program guidelines, and annual competency.Ability to work in a team environment. Travel required.Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional training experience.Proven experience training on complex topics and/or technology.Clinical and/or operating room experience preferred.High capacity and excellent problem-solving skills.Proven organizational skills and ability to successfully operate independently.Professional work ethic.Comfort presenting in front of groups consisting of 10 or more people.Solution-oriented.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Knowledge of adult learning principles preferred.High capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment.Medical-device experience preferred.Commitment to self-development.Minimum Education and Training Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Clinical or Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or Education.
