SUMMARY OF JOB: The modular Data Centers have been driving tremendous growth in the segment during the last years. As part of Data Center Systems Line of Business, The PREFABRICATED DATA CENTER organization designs and integrates full solutions in the field of power conversion, energy storage, cooling, electrical distribution, and control software into modular enclosures.
The Project Managers in our team have the responsibility to successfully deliver these projects after the PO and lead the teams through the main project phases, such as design, procurement, production, testing, commissioning, and Services enablement. They ensure the delivery of the solution to the country of destination and secure a safe hand-over to the customer.
Therefore, the Project Manager shall:
Lead global, cross-functional teams to deliver Modular Data Centers for country-based and global customers worldwide.Ensure optimum customer satisfaction by applying SE Quality standards in project execution and product development.Optimize the business performance of the project, focusing on Gross Margin improvement throughout the project cycle.Communicate and coordinate among key stakeholders in the project, including customers, Schneider entities, and factories.Motivate and direct teams to execute project plans and follow Schneider Electric CPP (Customer Project Processes), based on the PMI methodology.Closely control the project budget within the targeted margin objective and/or other project targets defined.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Follow Company Customer Project Processes (CPP).Lead a global, multi-functional team to deliver projects and offers to market.Execute and implement all work aligned with the CPP.Ensure project governance is met according to the CPP and within SE tools and systems.Manage projects focusing on the delivery of a product from concept to launch.Manage project teams in a global matrix organization across multiple time zones and locations.Identify root causes of problems, offer options and solutions to resolve issues, and own the resolution of any impediment.Handle multiple projects simultaneously.Work with functional management to staff projects appropriately.Build trust and consensus for effective project collaboration.Work independently with little supervision, showing ownership of the project in all its aspects.Advance corporate competencies and processes through continuous improvement activities.Define the Project Management Plan at the beginning of each project to provide clarity towards all internal and external stakeholders.Create and own project plans (schedule, resources) to meet project expectations and ensure cost, quality, lead-time, and business performance.Coordinate all support activities to meet new product contract deliverables.Analyze, anticipate, quantify, and mitigate risks (technical, schedule, manufacturability, application, etc.).Maintain a risk register to coordinate, record, and manage potential issues and follow mitigation plans through to completion.Report status of project activity to all stakeholders (e.g., management, support functions, customers, etc.).Communicate and manage changes in project scope to departmental and cross-functional teams.Be responsible for project metrics for schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.Interface with cross-functional teams and with corporate project office to continuously improve the new product development processes.Contribute towards performance reviews in partnership with functional managers.SCOPE AND SIZE No direct report.
EDUCATION Master's degree in a Technical or Industrial field; Major in Electrical Engineering preferred.PMP Certification desired.SKILLS Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.English full professional competency.Ability to work in a multicultural environment and different time zones.EXPERIENCE 5 – 7 Years' experience as Project Manager.2 Years working in the Data Center segment preferred.TRAVEL Domestic and international travel, periodically OTHER KEY CONSIDERATIONS Located in Sant Boi, Barcelona, Spain.Looking to make an IMPACT with your career?
