What is your mission? As Customer Project Engineer, you will assume direct Project Engineering responsibility for the implementation of the projects you are assigned, with the objective of delivering the offered to the customer systems & solutions within the agreed time schedule, quality standards and under the budget constraints set; you will define the applicable requirements and basic functionalities of the System, according to the real Project scope, managing different internal resources in order to achieve project objective. In addition, you will have a customer satisfaction objective in terms of project implementation in time, fulfil of requirements, support, and develop customer needs. You will be part of the Protection, Control and Automation Team (Energy Management line of business), the engineering unit focus on developing solutions for P&C for Electrical Substations, distribution networks, microgrids, smart grids and renewable generation.
ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Manager during execution phase in Customer Project Process compliance.Set up a defined integration process for different scopes (SCADA&RTU&Control System&Other) into complex automation architectures.Preparation of functional, HMI specification documents, communication architectures, I/O lists (HW/Soft), protection philosophy manuals and application notes.Configuration of HMI and/or SCADA systems, controllers, protection relays and communications equipment.Programming automation and control applications (PLC languages such as ST, SFC, FBD, IEC, C, C++, C#, VB).Configuring CID & SCD files (IEC).Design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of IT networks including switches, routers, firewalls and cybersecurity features.Design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of networks with the following protocols: IEC, Modbus (serial & TCP/IP), DNP3.0, IEC -5-.Ensure the System verification with the technical team indicated by the Customer (prepare and implement integration testing plans for factory acceptance and commissioning - FAT/SAT).Register/reporting the tests results. In case of deviation in any test, it must be registered in a Deviation Report, which must be followed up according to the type/category of deviation.Define Operational start-up of the installed equipment, according to manuals and procedures defined during the Engineering phase.Support Services & external resources Team Work on Site.Pro-actively participate in the improvement of processes and interfaces with other SCHNEIDER units.Ensure the Business process flow is adhered to and when deviations are encountered / identified, they are communicated with the supervisor.Support Project Manager in CPP Documentation.Training courses and presentations for internal and external customers.What do we expect from you?Qualified to degree, Science in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Industrial Engineer).Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of protection & controls systems.Experience in implementing (power) protection and control projects for O&G, utilities or electro-intensive industries.Knowledge about Substation Electrical Schematics.Database and Logical Development.SCADA Software & IHM basic design, controllers, protection relays and communications equipment (Experience with protection & control equipment and solutions preferably from Schneider, Alstom, SEL, GE, ABB and Siemens).Technical knowledge about Real Time Control Systems, including RTUs Devices and SCADA systems - EPAS (EcoStruxure PACIS Expert, Experience in the use of SE Energy Automation systems like SCE, CP, EPAS, EPAS-E, EPAS-M ….).EPO (EcoStruxure Power Operation, Experience in the use of PO configuration and engineering tools for Client, Server and Reporting Modules, common used protocols OPC UA/DA/AE, Web services for interoperability, device drivers).Proven experience with the following communication protocols: IEC, DNP 3.0, Modbus, IEC-5-, IEC-5-, IEC-5-.Reasoning abilities to include: defining problems, collect relevant data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Solution oriented, and creative.Ability to anticipate to problems in order to control delivery dates, margins and customer satisfaction in projects.Language abilities to include: to read/interpret general and technical documentation including tender/contract documents, drawings, schematics, specifications, standards, procedures and policy guidelines; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively, in an easy to understand manner, and deliver formal technical presentations to internal and external groups.Spanish and English mandatory.Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.Team work spirit.Communicative and customer satisfaction oriented.Flexible approach to working hours.
