As Customer Application Specialist (CAS) in Europe Sales HDx - Diagnostics & Genomics group, you support that journey helping our customers in the Pathology laboratories.
We provide timely and high-quality diagnosis within cancer diagnostics through trusted answers and insights that advance the quality of life.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a field-based role within the Diagnostics and Genomics (DGG) Division of Agilent as a member of the Spain Customer Application Specialist (CAS) team, supporting Field Sales in the Pathology & Healthcare setting.
In this role you will be required to:
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing organizations in the promotion of products.
Provide in-field pre-sales technical support to Spain Sales Representatives to ensure high-value sales are progressed, including Customer Facing Team technical visits, on-site demonstrations, workshops, and tender support.
Provide post-sales support to the customer, including onsite instrument and product training, validation support, optimization / adaptation of products to customers' needs (where agreed and approved by Sales, CAS, and Customer), ongoing technical support, and customer care.
Participate in Clinical Sessions with Pathologists reviewing slides on demonstrations or for technical troubleshooting.
Report the results of actions (trainings, demos, and technical support) to the sales team and CAS Manager.
Drive seminars and special training for customers (technician, pathologists, other lab stakeholders).
Help build customer relationships and maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Assess competitor activity whilst on customer sites and report back to the Sales Management Team.
Collaborate and support the Customer Technical Support Team / Remote Service Engineer (RSE) (ESP Diagnostics Technical Hotline).
Provide specialist support for major trade exhibitions and scientific meetings.
Provide specialist training and support for the Sales team as and when required.
Attend internal meetings.
Attend internal Product Training.
Report time for onsite visits and administrative tasks.
Assist with preparation / translation for user guides and instrumentation manuals where needed.
Be the face of Agilent.
Travel will primarily within the Galician and Canary Islands regions, but travel throughout Spain may also be required. 75-80% of the time could be spent traveling.
Qualifications
BSc in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or similar; Master or PhD preferred.
Medical Laboratory Technologist Histopathology or similar.
Highly experienced within pathology workflow, H&E staining, special stains.
Immunohistochemistry and ISH knowledge.
Good guiding experience and ability to mentor.
IT knowledge.
High degree of business understanding and customer focus.
Flexible and results-oriented.

Highly partnership and team success focused.
Good English capability.
A current Full Spanish Driving License is needed.
Previous experience in an Applications / Technical role in a scientific subject area is desirable but not crucial.
Preferred Location: Galicia.
