Your field of responsibilityTo be successful in the role, you will need to be flexible, organizationally savvy, organized, articulate, and detail-oriented. You need a good risk culture, as well as some experience in interacting with senior audiences such as the Chief Risk Officer. The role provides a good opportunity to evolve into a risk expert role and to take an active part in crafting the overall risk profile of the entity while it expands its portfolio and the spectrum of its activities.Main functions:Ensure the supervision of the services provided to the CSEB CRO is effective and escalate to the CRO any services not delivered in line with the appropriate standards.Ensure the team's job specs, org chart, budget, and policies are up to date.Ensure the deliveries of the CSEB CRO team are tracked and provide visibility to management on project issues as they arise.Take minutes of team meetings and certain risk committees.Coordinate certain deliverables (regulatory changes, internal changes, etc.) and gather data for senior risk executives.When needed, support the senior risk executives with building spreadsheets, risk dashboards, and preparing presentations.Support the preparation of risk committees' packs and regular updates made by risk executives to the governance forum of the entity.Your future colleagues:The CSEB Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Treasury and Liquidity Risk Management (TLRM) team supports the CSEB CRO with the COO activities of the CSEB CRO team, a team of 30 full-time employees based in Madrid and Poland.Your skills and experienceYou will thrive in a lively work environment, handling inquiries related to planning and performance; the role requires:Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly.Some understanding of the key processes performed by a risk organization.Knowledge of risk metrics: Capital and RWA, VaR, Risk sensitivities.Generic understanding of counterparty credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk.Willingness to learn about derivative trading, securities trading, and ECB rules (e.g., AQR, TRIM).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data.Autonomy with Excel, including building complex spreadsheets with formulas and writing simple VBA code.A highly organized and self-motivated approach and the ability to demonstrate the highest levels of conduct and ethics.The capacity to work in a highly international environment, collaborating effectively with risk experts based outside of Madrid and specialists from different risk disciplines based in multiple locations.Minimum of 2 years of relevant COO or risk management experience, preferably in the investment banking industry.At least an undergraduate university degree level education.
