THE ROLE Chiliz is the market leader in digital assets for sports. In support of ambitious plans, we are expanding and innovating throughout all aspects of the company to support rapid growth, and we are now looking for a Crypto Business Director to oversee and optimize crypto operations at Chiliz in the scope of native exchange management. This high-impact role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills and a proven track record of success. You will serve a key role in leading a high-performing team that is critical to the continued success of the business, and you will be expected to operate effectively in a highly cross-functional context, working directly with Chiliz executive leaders and function heads. The ability to execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is critical.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all day-to-day crypto operations;
Support and participate in new crypto initiatives / cross-functional projects in support of new business / product development;
Monitor market trends and changes in the cryptocurrency landscape to identify new opportunities and potential risks;
Coordinate, review and prepare business requirements for new product features/improvements in close collaboration with Tech & Product and other key stakeholders;
Collaborate with cross-functional constituents including Tech, Product, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Customer Experience, Business Intelligence, Marketing and Corporate Affairs;
Partner with Customer Experience and Content/Marketing teams to continuously improve crypto-related customer communications;
Work closely with Group Marketing Director to align with long-term business goals and strategies, and create new opportunities for growth;
Work closely with Group Corporate Affairs Director to establish and evolve the brand strategy and positioning;
Own, drive and oversee the weekly plans, milestones and projects to deliver on company objectives;
Track business results, manage weekly reporting, monitor KPIs, OKRs and flag risks/blockers that could hinder goals;
Build transparency, accountability and collaboration within and across teams;
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the crypto community, including exchanges, wallets and other service providers.
Skills and requirements
You are a leader with a deep interest and passion for crypto who has a history of impact in high-performing operational teams;
You will have 8+ years of relevant experience within the crypto/financial tech industry (including forecasting and reporting experience);
You will have a strong understanding of blockchain technology and mechanics, as well as solid knowledge of blockchain, crypto and digital asset markets;
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, interrogate and disseminate significant information with attention to detail and accuracy;
Strong managerial skills with the ability to motivate and effectively work with an international and distributed team;
A passion and willingness to learn new information quickly;
Collaborative mindset plus a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into the tactical as well as the strategic;
Strong communication skills, written and verbal;
You are an out-of-the-box thinker and a high-achiever.
