What will you be doing: Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance Crypto and Digital Assets, the Crypto and Digital Assets Compliance Analyst will operate globally to implement a Compliance and Risk Program to support Santander's Crypto and Digital Asset Strategy.
Your objective will be to manage and ensure the implementation of control mechanisms for group policies, as well as compliance with applicable regulations to adequately advise the different areas of the business on crypto and digital assets initiatives.
Responsibilities: Navigate and provide analysis of regulations, including support on how to implement policy and operational adjustments to meet changing regulatory and business requirements.
Work on the follow-up of the implementation of crypto and digital assets compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Support compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures related to crypto and digital assets topics systematically across the bank.
Support Risk culture, training, and awareness around application, use, and exposure to digital assets.
Work in assessing crypto and digital assets new initiatives and products from the compliance perspective to ensure a systematic, risk-based approach is implemented.
Remain up-to-date on industry-related best practices and enforcement activities and act as an advisor to the compliance and digital assets stakeholders.
Participate in crypto and digital assets vendor management processes from a risk & compliance standpoint.
Requirements: Years of compliance (and/or legal) experience with a global financial services company, crypto asset service provider, or consultancy firm (crypto/digital asset exposure preferred).
Professional or personal experience working with Crypto and Digital Assets.
Desire to support building a Compliance program capable of supporting the growth and scale of a bank taking cautious steps into the innovative Digital Asset space.
Proven experience troubleshooting and discovering solutions quickly and effectively with exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
