We are looking for a skilled Credit Risk Modeler/Data Scientist to help drive our data-driven risk assessment strategies.

What you'll do Develop and Monitor Risk Models: Build and maintain robust credit rating and scoring models, utilizing advanced data analysis techniques to assess customer profiles and payment capacities.
Predictive Modeling: Develop and continuously refine models for PD (Probability of Default), LGD (Loss Given Default), EAD (Exposure at Default), and EL (Expected Losses) to accurately estimate SeQura's credit risk provisions.
Data Requirements: Define and establish data requirements for model development, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the data used.
Documentation & Reporting: Document all models and methodologies, ensuring full transparency for internal and external audits and validations.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with risk analysts, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and to communicate key findings and model performance.
Audit Support: Provide expert support during internal and external audits, and facilitate model validations to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.

What You'll Bring Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with credit risk methodologies in the banking sector or consultancy environments.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in managing large, complex data sets and applying machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to build predictive models.
Programming Skills: Advanced programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience in model development.
Desirable Experience: Familiarity with IRB (Internal Ratings-Based) and IFRS9 regulatory frameworks is a plus.
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a knack for solving complex problems and identifying root causes.
