The Role We're looking for a Credit Controller for our team in Barcelona. In this role you will work closely with our customers, sales, finance and accounting teams. This role is based in Barcelona. Sometimes it can happen that you need to travel and we hope that you love to experience mother earth as much as Oatly do! Also in the role you will work with the whole finance team within South Europe and France. You will be a part of the continuously development and improvement of the processes and routines in your department as well as in the organization.
Clear incoming payment on customer account Work with AP to clear deductions Control and manage vendor account in collaboration with AR Assistant Reconcile customer accounts on a monthly basis Make sure that flow of invoice is correct including coordination of EDI issues Perform relevant SOX controls (contract review – OTC02/ IFRS-15, preparer OTC-16,17) Support commercial controller on credit terms Support new customer set up & Maintain Customer Master data form What experience you haveTo be successful in this role you have 2to 3 years of work experience as aCredit Controller, AR or in a similar role.We also wish you tick following boxes:
A solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices. Experience in Accounts ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to credit management, Such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), A degree in economics / Accounting and a few years' experience in accounting, Accounts Receivable Experience in Spanish and French companies Spanish and Englishfluent in both verbally and written. It is a qualification if you speak French (not a must) Who You AreTo succeed in the role, you need to have great communications skills and the confidence to challenge status quo. You are organized, structured and flexible and are able to work in a dynamic environment. Being independent, persistent and curious are additional qualities that you possess. You are outgoing and a person with positive energy, who like to be a part of a team. You are humble and positive and continuously look for possibilities to improve.

Attention to Detail since this is crucial for reviewing financial documents, detecting discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy in credit transactions.Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze financial data and trends is essential for assessing credit risks and making informed decisions regarding credit limits and terms. Communication Skills: Effective communication with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders Problem-Solving Skills Goal Orientation and Performance Management: The ability to set and achieve targets related to reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), improving cash flow, and minimizing bad debt is crucial for success in this role Direct involvement within the finance team for Southern Europe and France, as well as the EMEA finance and accounting team. Communication and collaboration with Key Account Managers (KAM) and commercial managers from each country, as well as with the respective counterparts of our customers.
