The Job
WarnerMedia produces local language unscripted content for HBO Max in Spain, covering a range of unscripted genres. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, passionate, and self-motivated Executive Producer in our Unscripted Originals team in Spain. As the Executive Producer reporting to the VP Commissioning Editor Original Programming WM Spain, you will leverage your experience as a producer in both development and production, using your knowledge of creative and business issues to bring new projects from idea to launch. You will attend pitches and review material to deliver informed and productive feedback and will be part of building the original content slate for HBO Max in Spain, joining a dynamic and enthusiastic team.
The Daily Work with the Head of OP in Spain and in coordination with the Head of Unscripted Original Production, EMEA, as well as with the line producer for unscripted programming in Spain to oversee the development and production of unscripted originals in Spain.Cultivate creative relationships in the Spanish unscripted marketplace.Solicit and assess proposals and pitches, making recommendations on submissions to enter into development and providing feedback.Collaborate with Production, Legal and Business Affairs to secure production and talent for original programming, and act as a point of contact and support for the Spanish creative community (production companies, talent etc.).Manage production of new programs from inception to launch, interacting with key stakeholders internally and externally during the process.Review and negotiate production budgets; ability to dive deep into a budget to know its efficiency.The Essentials
- A proven player in the unscripted community as a producer, executive producer or similar.
- Track record of handling multiple projects in a dynamic production environment, under deadlines.
- Proven experience overseeing the execution of successful unscripted series, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to lead, supervise and execute projects from concept through delivery.
- Experience collaborating with high-level on and off-screen talent.
- Fluent in English.
