The Opportunity
Mission: reinforce the Corporate Legal Services team, reporting to the Corporate Legal Director, providing legal advice and support on corporate governance and ESG matters.
What you'll get to do
Support the Corporate Legal Director in the drafting, updating and review of corporate legal documents, corporate policies and procedures.
Collaborate, under the supervision of the Corporate Legal Director, offering legal advice and guidance on corporate governance practices within the Spanish and European legal framework, ensuring adherence to high standards for public entities and compliance with the applicable regulations and requirements of regulatory bodies.
Support in the preparation of the board of directors' meetings and its committees, as well as the general shareholders meetings.
Support and develop a close partnership with the ESG business unit, devoting time to understand their challenges and advise them on legal implications and seeking an ongoing exchange of information with them.
Provide timely review of contracts and provide support to other business units (in particular, ESG business unit), protecting and enforcing key rights and mitigating legal risks.
Manage and provide guidance and review of relevant UBO-related documents.
Assist the Corporate Legal Director in specific projects and with other legal matters as necessary.
We'd love to meet you if you have
Experience: Minimum experience as a corporate lawyer of 5 years, preferably in large law firm. Experience as an in-house will be a plus.
Education: Law degree. Specific subsequent education will be a plus (in particular, in corporate governance and/or ESG).
Languages: Proficiency in both Spanish and English professional use.
Competencies: Flexible. Rigorous but resolutive (can-do-attitude). Business oriented, with initiative. Problem-solving and pragmatism. Ability to work both independently and as strong team player.
Specific Knowledge required: Required knowledge/experience in carrying out the type of tasks described in Functions and Responsibilities.
