Description and Responsibilities As part of the IP Network Department and reporting to the Network Department Manager, your responsibility will be responsible for the architecture, design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the IP network elements, such as switches, routers, firewalls including SDN network elements in AWS or other cloud services the company may pursue using.
You will be responsible to handle incidents affecting the service we provide to our client's customers.
In this, you will be responsible to drive the related problems resolution, all the way down to problem correction and propose any possible improvements.
You will be expected to be autonomous and self-driven in order to proactively fulfill your responsibilities.
You will work collaboratively with other teams across the globe, being English the normal communication language between colleagues.
Plan network capacity/estimate network utilization Construct and maintain configurations for data center networks with Cisco and Juniper Technologies Experience or knowledge in Cisco ACI or other SDN solutions Design, test and install network hardware and software Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) Troubleshooting of network problems using network analyzers and/or sniffers and other troubleshooting tools Deal with network related documentation (develop/update/review) and technical specifications Define and implement network monitoring of the network systems Implement and monitor network security Participate in projects and deployment of new security architecture Participate in projects to make the network security evolve (Design & construction of new technologies and security equipment to support the security evolution) Additional Information The offer also includes a company paid Health Insurance coverage, flexible working time schedules, travel insurance, equity scheme, team bonding activities, snacks, coffee, tea, etc.
In-depth understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP.
Advanced knowledge of dynamic routing protocols OSPF and BGP.
Advanced knowledge of high availability protocols such as VRRP, HSRP, LACP, VXLAN, QoS, IPSEC.
Advanced knowledge of network virtualization technologies including MPLS and VRF.
Knowledge of SD-WAN also advantageous.
Advanced knowledge of firewall clusters Cisco/Juniper, Application Security (AppID), Sandboxing, and Real-time Malware blocking, Intrusion Detection.
Experience or knowledge in Cisco ACI or other SDN solutions.
Proficiency with enterprise networks using Cisco IOS/NXOS/IOSXE, JunOS.
Have a logical approach to fault finding and troubleshooting.
Ability to control and co-ordinate complex technical situations in a calm and professional manner.
Good understanding of security best practices, particularly in relation to intrusion detection, web content filtering, data leakage prevention and encryption.
Significant experience in relevant domains operating in a Network Engineering Technical Lead / Technical Architect.
Desirable Skills Knowledge of Cloud based networking technologies, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure network designs, including best practices in configuring AWS Direct Connect and Azure.
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Rancid.
Ideally CCNA / CCNP certified or Juniper Equivalent.
