About the location:
Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure food quality, presentation, and safety standards are met.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to hygiene practices.
Assist in menu planning and inventory management of kitchen supplies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations.
Our Ideal Cook Candidate Will Have:
Culinary Experience : Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting, with a solid understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation.
Creativity : Ability to create and innovate new dishes, contributing to menu development and presentation that aligns with the restaurant's concept and standards.
Attention to Detail : Strong focus on food quality, presentation, and hygiene, ensuring that all dishes meet the established standards.
Knowledge of Food Safety : Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of food to prevent contamination.
Time Management Skills : Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively to meet service demands.
Teamwork : Willingness to collaborate with kitchen staff and other departments, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Adaptability : Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and adapt to changing menus or special requests from guests.
Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot kitchen issues, such as equipment malfunctions or ingredient shortages, while maintaining service standards.
