Position Overview
A Controls Engineer performs a vital role in designing and developing systems for manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include:
Designing layout, materials and information flow, or machine placement.Increasing production efficiency by evaluating performance and proposing and implementing improvements.Designing electrical and control systems for industrial automation systems.Drafting diagrams of cable connections for robots, robot end-of-arm tools, robot controllers, and other machines.Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing controls, instruments, equipment, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.Programming and configuring plant floor data interfaces (traceability).Leading support for vision inspection systems.Writing work instructions for controls processes including programs, PLCs, automation, etc.Collaborating with other functional groups to illustrate and describe installation and maintenance details.Conferring with equipment manufacturers to resolve problems regarding the building of controls systems.Observing gauges during trial runs of programmed machine and equipment operation to verify that electrical signals in the system conform to specifications.For more information, please visit the original job advertisement on Kit Empleo: Controls Engineer Job Posting
