Job Description: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Controller to join the Controllership team with following details.
Role Purpose: You will manage the delivery of statutory accounts, financial accounting and reporting, monitoring invoicing, intercompany, treasury and tax ensuring compliance with US and Spanish GAAP. AECOM Finance comprises a commercially focused team of 6 finance professionals located in Madrid, and support from Finance global business support teams in several countries.
This is a key role within the Finance team and will report to the Finance Director.
Key responsibilities Ensure local statutory accounts and tax returns are prepared on time.Support the statutory audits and any tax audits that take place.Primary point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants as they pertain to local entities.Manage month end activities, US GAAP reporting and reconciliation to Spanish GAAPs.Review Oracle monthly journals, e.g., accruals, payroll, prepayments, adjustments, provisions etc., and ensure adherence with AECOM accounting policies and financial controls.Liaison with Shared Service Centre for payments, record to report activities and invoice processing.Monitor that the activities transitioned to Manila Financial shared service center are running smoothly.Drive the improvements for accounting processes and statutory accounting.Identify areas for improvement in the local B/S reconciliations and drive improvement.Support monitor cash management & forecasting and liaison with Treasury department in Ireland.Integration of Joint Ventures into Oracle.Review the monthly mapping of Oracle into Spanish GAAPs.Review the overseas branch accounting.Manage the transfer pricing work done by external advisors.Assist with any ad hoc requests from the finance and operational team. Skills Minimum 8-year experience in similar role, preferably in a multinational environment.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.Experience reporting under US GAAP.Experience using Oracle.Excellent written and spoken English is essential.Stakeholder management skills and presence.Proactivity and autonomy. Desired Skills Experience working with projects.Experience with Oracle and purchase order systems implementations.Experience working with Shared Service Centers.
