Service > Global Service Operations > TOE - Loads & Control The Loads & Controls (Service LaC) department is a part of Vestas Service Organization, responsible for designing new products and optimizing the Vestas Service Fleet to ensure performance is on par with new turbines.
Products vary from rotor upgrades, including multibrand, software products like PowerPlus, to site-specific controller tuning and predictive maintenance strategies.
As a Control Engineer, you will be responsible for developing control solutions to address Service business opportunities in compliance with design standards.
You will be part of a global team distributed across India, Denmark, and Spain.
Responsibilities Development and tuning of control algorithmsImplementation of control algorithms in MATLAB/SimulinkControl performance data analysis in turbine/fleet level controller tuning and optimizationFeasibility studies of new wind turbine products aimed at optimizing power, loads, and noise performance through innovative use of sensors, controllers, and actuatorsVerification on all levels, including software tests and field testingRisk management activities such as risk assessments and failure mode and effect analysisDevelop and support innovation and conceptual projectsPossess a broad insight and understanding of turbine components and control strategyQualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in electrical, electromechanical, instrumentation & controls, or a similar fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in simulation/modelling tools such as MATLAB SIMULINKSolid competence in mathematical modeling of electromechanical and hydraulic systemsWorking knowledge of control design and control tuning using a model-based control approachExperience in Wind Turbine Controls is advantageousSolid understanding of control theoryProgramming knowledge in C++ and SQLGood knowledge of power generation conceptsKnowledge of aerodynamicsWhat We Offer We offer you a versatile job in a motivating and collaborative team in a global environment.
