.You will be based in one of our European offices. You will be working under the supervision and guidance of other dedicated public sector lawyers based in Europe, and of the department's generalist lawyers in the region, for example, the local Associate General Counsel in the Nordics. In addition, you will be a member of McKinsey & Company's Global Public Sector Legal Team. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of commercial contracts relating to work for the public sector particularly in the Nordics, as well as in other geographies in Europe. This will involve reviewing and negotiating government contracts, subcontracts, collaboration agreements, confidentiality agreements and memoranda of understanding; assisting our consulting teams with the review of public sector tender documents and preparation of tender proposals; and working on internalcompliance and risk management issues. You will draft, review and negotiate government contracts, framework agreements and other commercial contracts with public sector organizations (e.G. national, regional, state, provincial and local governments, including ministries, agencies and regulators, certain multilateral organizations or other public bodies, and certain state-linked enterprises) as well as collaboration agreements, confidentiality agreements and memoranda of understanding, and provide our consultants with appropriate forms of agreement and legal advice on a variety of engagement-related legal issues, including assisting consulting teams with reviewing invitations to tender for public sector proposals and preparing proposals/tender responses. You will advise on current contractual arrangements and supporting consulting teams with questions which may arise during the services period, work with other experts internally in Finance, Risk, and Compliance functions to guide on legal risks, questions and issues; advise consulting teamson firm policies and internal compliance procedures; prepare for and conductinternal training sessions, and assist on issues raised by working with the public sector such as public procurement rules, freedom of information act laws
