The Contract Manager is responsible for all the contractual, commercial and legal aspects of the Contract.
His role is to set policy and strategic goals relating to claims, changes and the defense of Thales interests, as well as managing the various functions required to achieve them.
Main Tasks: Actively contribute to risks and opportunities analysis in bids and projects. Responsible for the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of contractual arrangements during the bid phase, considering all technical, calendar, regulatory and legal constraints. Manage contracts and be involved in program reviews and forums to collect and sort out relevant information for proposing, preparing, and drafting amendments and/or contractual claims. Ensure timely collection of all relevant records, data, and information to support and draft amendments and/or contractual claims. Represent the legal & contracts function in discussions and negotiations of commercial/contractual issues. Maintain accurate contract management dashboards reflecting risks, opportunities, and their consequences on the project margin. Proactively propose risk mitigation and profit enhancement measures. Make efficient and regular reporting to the L&C Director. Assist the Project team in the interpretation and execution of contractual terms and conditions (customer, co-contractor, subcontractors). Support the drafting and negotiation of subcontracts to minimize Thales risks (flow-down of T&Cs and contractual risks). Contractual documentation management and preparation of documentation submittal to Customer, co-contractor and subcontractors. Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive dispute files with co-contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers as necessary in coordination with L&C BL and Corporate. Analyze local laws and regulations to develop local legal expertise. Ensure compliance with regulations. What about you? Minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in public contract and project management.
Graduated in Law and/or have significant experience in contract management.
