About the Role We are seeking a Content Manager to lead and coordinate all activities related to the creation, development, and management of content for Kings League (KL), in alignment with the guidelines set by the Content Director. This role involves overseeing a team of editors to ensure the quality, consistency, and relevance of content while working closely with teams across production, video editing, social media, and design.
Key Responsibilities Based in the Barcelona headquarters, oversee all content production for Kings League Germany. Maintain direct communication with local teams in Cologne, supervising the entire content creation process from ideation to publication, ensuring quality, consistency, and relevance across all platforms. Manage the country's multidisciplinary team of writers, collaborating with other departments to identify content needs and ensure timely and effective delivery. Report directly to the Content Director, assisting in strategy development and ensuring alignment with content guidelines while accommodating time zone differences. Monitor streams, social media, and other content, creating written reports to inform strategy and adjustments. Organise schedules, agendas, and meetings between global and local teams to facilitate collaboration and information sharing. Analyse performance metrics and data to assess the impact of content and make strategic adjustments to optimise performance. Participate in managing the country content department's budget and resources, including establishing and overseeing relationships with external vendors such as content agencies and freelancers. Serve as the primary point of coordination between local teams in Cologne and the Barcelona headquarters, overseeing the production and execution of content to ensure smooth communication and alignment throughout all content-related activities. Ensure the quality and relevance of content across different markets, adapting it to local languages and cultural preferences. Requirements Proven experience in content management, ideally within a digital or media environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of content quality and consistency. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of content marketing strategies, SEO, and data analytics. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and manage relationships with external vendors such as content agencies and freelancers. A degree in audiovisual communication, journalism, or a related field is preferred. Native German speaker required; candidates who are not native German speakers will not be considered for this position. Excellent proficiency in English. Flexibility in working hours is essential, with occasional availability required to work on weekends due to the nature of our entertainment and football events.
