About the Role FTI Consulting Madrid is looking for a Consultant to join our Public Affairs team. If you are looking to work in a dynamic and thriving sector team that crosses multiple issues, then this is the position for you.
In this role you will be part of a fast-growing team of experts who advise a broad range of clients at an EU, regional and global scale.
Thus, a strong interest and/or prior knowledge on topics such as regulation, data privacy and protection, or AI policy among others will be a considerable advantage.
As a consultant, you will work on different client accounts, support senior colleagues, and be involved in general day-to-day support of operations.
What You'll Do Deliver to clients: Monitor institutional and regulatory developments; conduct EU and Spanish policy analysis and research on relevant issues; draft reports and present findings to clients; support with day-to-day deliverables; participate in strategy sessions for clients.Build the business: Provide support on the development of new business opportunities, including research and contribution to the development of proposals; contribute to wider marketing initiatives to positively position the firm and practice in the market.Team involvement: Contribute to knowledge-building and sharing within the team and to the development of relevant materials and resources; participate in values-based/D&I activities.Networking: Attend and report on relevant industry events; build a strong network within European institutions, think tanks, academia and others.How You'll Grow You will have the opportunity to work in some of the most challenging and fascinating public policy issues currently being tackled in Spain and Europe, advising a broad range of clients in different sectors. You will be part of a dynamic and multinational team of experts based in Madrid and you will be able to work closely with professionals within FTI Consulting's global network.

What You Will Need to Succeed Basic Qualifications A minimum of 3 – 4 years in similar role working for a public affairs agency, law firm or Public Institution.Bachelor's degree required. Studies in the fields of political science, international relations, EU policy, law or related areas are a plus.Proven skills and/or interest in politics, public affairs, advocacy, issues, and reputation management.Proactiveness in communication and problem-solving.Professional demeanour and presence, including the ability to handle confidential information.Good organisation and presentation skills with a keenness for client and project management.Ability to digest and summarise information to key internal and external stakeholders.Team player who can deliver in a fast-paced environment.Resourcefulness, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.Native Spanish.
