WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
In our Product Team Business Intelligence Finance & Procurement you take an active role in the design, implementation and support of complex software and application components in the Business Intelligence environment of BASF Group. In this role, you will develop / consult on BI applications which are custom made for the need of our business units. You will find technical solutions for complex requirements and put them to live in the systems. Additionally, you will cover operational aspects together with our external provider and clarify complex issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your focus, depending on skill and interest, will result from all or a section of the following areas:
You consult on (technical) questions in context of business applications for reporting, create specifications based on technical requirements for projects as well as for change requests in cooperation with other consultants and our business units.
You do software developments on your own, but also take over the management of developments in cooperation with internal colleagues or external service providers.
In addition, you regularly run maintenance task, quality assurance measures and test activities and support in the development of support concepts. You also ensure smooth service operation of applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's or master's degree in business informatics, business administration with a focus on IT, or computer science with a focus on business administration. Alternatively, you have a comparable completed vocational training with more than 3 years of IT experience in various functions.
At least 3 years of professional experience in IT related topics.
Business intelligence basic skills by education or practical experience of at least 1 year.
You like to work in an international team and showing good analytical skills as well as a certain level of service and customer orientation.
A growth and diverse mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
You always act in the interests of the company and communicate clearly and authentically in English (spoken and written)
NICE TO HAVE
In addition to the pronounced technical inclination, you have a strong interest in understanding the business background and creating sustainable BI applications together with the internal business partner.
As our biggest system is a SAP Business Warehouse (BW), experience in SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud would be an additional benefit.
Experience in programming skills: ABAP/ABAP OO, SQL, HANA native or alternatively another 3 GL development language (e.g., C++, Java, etc.).
Experience in finance or procurement reporting application design, and/or in finance or procurement processes would be appreciated.
