We are looking for a Manager to join our Construction Disputes Expert Services department.
In this role you'll participate and lead (depending on the case) independent analysis on Construction Infrastructure projects in international arbitration and litigation.
You'll support Clients and their consultants engaged in Alternative Dispute Resolution and the delivery of complex and challenging major projects and programmes of work.
Day-to-day responsibilities: Conduct and lead project analysis and draft and review concise and detailed expert reports based on the analysis findings.
Review documents on varied project types in a broad range of industries, for example infrastructure, oil gas, energy or renewables.
Draft notes, presentations and external communications to assist with the overall project scope and individual work streams.
Provide assistance in managing the workload and tasks of the project team and arrange and organize the documentation filing process for the project.
Draft project and fee proposals for new projects and manage budgets and fee reports.
Present and participate in client meetings.
Provide advisory services to Clients seeking to enhance their commercial performance and corporate governance including the introduction and improvement of project controls and risk management.
Regularly attend marketing events – client events, seminars and lectures to build relationships in the field.
Essential traits: Degree level education in a construction or industrial related field.
Relevant MSc in engineering and/or Construction law/quantity surveying would be an advantage.
Ideally 7-10+ years of construction/industrial experience.
International experience, planning experience and contract management experience would be an asset.
On site and off site experience dealing with contracts, proposals, work programmes, claims and other industry-related documents.
A strong understanding of most common construction contract schemes (NEC, FIDIC…) would be an advantage.
Ideally 1+ years' experience of performing detailed Quantum or Delay forensic analysis.
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel and Office and comfortable with large sets of data and documentation.
Excellent analytical skills, an attention to detail and exceptional report writing skills.
Energetic, pro-active and professional.
Inquisitive and curious to learn more about the industry and field.
Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
