ABOUT THE ROLE The Drafter plays a critical role in transforming design concepts into detailed technical drawings that serve as the blueprint for construction projects. This role is essential in helping Stel Builders maintain the highest standards in project documentation, ensuring that plans align with project requirements and meet city approval. Working closely with the architecture and project management teams, the Drafter focuses on drafting accurate site plans, layouts, and design adjustments. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Drafting Create accurate and detailed technical drawings using Revit on provided sketches, measurements, and design concepts. Draft layouts, elevations, and sections for remodels, additions, and new construction projects. Assist in rendering plans into 3D using Revit software. Provide feedback on design inconsistencies or areas of improvement to the architecture team. Ensure all drawings align with project requirements and are suitable for city approval. Team Collaboration Work closely with the architecture, project management, and interior design teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment on project details. Coordinate with the project manager to address any drafting-related adjustments or modifications required during the project lifecycle. Regularly update team members on progress and any changes to drafted plans. Project Documentation Maintain organized records of all drawings, ensuring accessibility for project managers and other team members. Update drafts as needed to reflect changes in project scope or client requirements. Ensure proper documentation is prepared for submission as part of city approval processes. ROLE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience as a Revit Drafter in the residential construction or architecture industry. Proven experience using Revit (you will be asked to provide a portfolio). Strong understanding of residential construction projects. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings. Effective communication skills for remote collaboration with design and project teams. Must have own computer (relevant software and subscriptions provided). Excellent English verbal and written language proficiency (C1-C2 in CEFR Scale). Access to a quiet work area at home with reliable internet (50 Mbps or more). PREFERRED ("NICE-TO-HAVE") QUALIFICATIONS Experience collaborating with architecture or design teams on construction projects. Familiarity with 3D modeling software like SketchUp. Ability to produce presentation quality 3D renderings using Lumion and/or Revit. University degree in architecture, interior design, civil engineering degree, or a related field. ROLE SPECIFICATIONS Base Salary: Q10,000 base salary. Role type: Full-time. Location: Guatemala (Remote - Work from home). Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
