Within CO&I, the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft's cloud business.
The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects.

The Construction Manager drives data centre construction/integration activities on local/campus projects and provides key input on all data centre fit-out related activities, leveraging experiences and technical knowledge to ensure sound and data-driven decisions.

ResponsibilitiesThe Construction Manager reports to the Site Director and is responsible for the project delivery to the expectations of Safety, Quality, Predictable Cost and Schedule.Management of resources/talents assigned to the project (CSA/MEP Superintendent, Quality Manager, Energy Marshall, Logistic Coordinator/Project Engineer and ITIM).Working in collaboration with other site personnel for expeditious timely resolution of field queries, issues, and challenges.Delivery of the project to the expectations of Safety, Quality, Predictable Cost and Schedule as per the approved project SLAs.Hold GC and contracted vendors accountable to their contracted deliverables.Perform site walks every day and track project's progress on schedule, quality, and safety.
Work closely with the site safety lead and contractors to reinforce safety culture at site.Manage, monitor, and accountable for the construction scope, progress, execution, schedule, and cost as per approved baseline document.Ensure that all CSA and MEP works meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant codes, regulations, and specifications.Demonstrate visible leadership in the field by walking the jobsite daily to ensure compliance with safety, quality and schedule and progress.Work closely with the quality lead to document, report, and reinforce non-conformance remediations and resolution of issues.Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
This documentation is essential for tracking project milestones, identifying areas for improvement, and resolving disputes.Support commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting and handover of the project to operations team.QualificationsRequired/minimum qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND substantial related experience OR equivalent experience.Background Check RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
