Wood is looking for a PMC Construction Manager with extensive experience in managing complex construction projects within the oil and gas, energy sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Construction Manager will represent Wood on site and be responsible for organizing, managing, and administering all site activities in accordance with the company's operating policies and principles and relevant legislation and Client requirements.
This role requires extensive experience leading large teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsible for management of installation, commissioning, and completion activities.

ResponsibilitiesBe the primary contact with the Project Director for all project matters arising in the field.Supervise that EPC Contractor completes construction activities in accordance with good construction practice, the Project Schedule, and safety prescriptions.Ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled and advise the Client accordingly.Review and monitor the construction program and ensure that EPC Contractor prepares detailed construction schedules for all areas and erection activities.Support the Project Director in discussing project changes proposed by the EPC Contractor.Review progress reports, budget, and field construction activities with the Project Director and Field Project Control Manager.In the absence of the Project Director/Manager in the field, issue correspondence to the Client CM and the EPC Contractor related to project matters.Receive and distribute information from the Client and from the EPC Contractor to the field Discipline Engineers under his control.Expedite requested information for proper supervision of construction activities.Administer industrial relations and safety policies to maintain discipline for the Wood Team.Conduct weekly meetings with the EPC Contractor and field staff to verify progress, safety, and construction aspects.Ensure activities are in accordance with the Master Project Schedule.Advise the Client and Project Director of any factors adversely affecting the project.Coordinate with the Engineer Manager and his/her staff on all engineering matters.Coordinate with Client and EPC Contractor Construction Managers on construction progress.Coordinate completion of construction and testing with the start-up group when applicable.Check that all documents needing Client approval to start work are issued.Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.Lead and manage the construction phase of the project, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.Oversee the project budget, ensuring cost control measures are in place.Develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of all construction activities.Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all work meets required standards.Serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related matters, maintaining effective communication with clients, EPC Contractor, and other stakeholders.Lead and mentor the construction team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Identify and mitigate potential risks to the project, ensuring proactive measures are in place.Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Define, shape, and execute operational plans to support short- and long-term strategy including future growth aspirations.
