Minimum Qualifications:B.Sc in Civil Engineering, other Engineering disciplines, Architecture, or country equivalent.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.M.Sc in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent disciplines.Project Management experience from design phase through implementation and operation.Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean analytical techniques.MRICS / RIBA qualified, or country equivalent.Knowledge about Health and Safety in design and/or construction stages.Ability to travel throughout Europe up to 50% of the time.A second language among Arabic, German, French, and Polish is preferred.Responsibilities:Oversee construction engineering, planning, and design for Amazon Fulfillment Centers and other new build-outs and expansion projects.Support managing building projects and additional capacity requirements within existing European Fulfillment Centers network.Oversee construction engineering design on new and existing facilities' projects.Prepare reports, specifications, and technical analysis to fully define design requirements, equipment, and services required.Survey facilities, develop and document procedures to audit the facility, provide evaluations and analysis, and recommend solutions to the team responsible for infrastructure, safety, and security.Support negotiations with vendors and present formal documentation for approval when required.Ensure contracts are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and incorporate appropriate Service Level Agreements.Provide support to the site management team, including planning, specification of business proposals, and coordination of subcontractors.Facilitate and team with others on due diligence evaluation of new opportunities.Ensure that externally contracted resources deliver work to meet duration and quality targets, addressing and correcting under-performance issues.Audit contractors to ensure the skills and competencies of contract labor are appropriate to need.Inform contractors of projected changes to take appropriate action.Establish and operate the information systems necessary for effective scheduling and recording of contract work.Support contractors' work and help them achieve higher performance levels.Coach new members on best practices.The role will be based in Europe and will include frequent travel to various locations in the EU or within the country you are based at.
