Job Description:
Eosol Group is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Construction Manager to join our team at a site located in Sines, Portugal. This role is pivotal as we continue to excel within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of progressive experience in construction management, with a specific focus on overseeing complex projects in challenging environments.
As a Construction Manager at Site, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful execution of construction operations while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. You will lead the site team, coordinate activities with contractors, and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend daily and weekly site meetings to monitor progress, ensure alignment with project timelines, and address any issues proactively.
Regularly meet with third-party entities and fellow managers to provide updates on project status, facilitate collaboration, and streamline communication.
Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Develop and implement site management plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
Collaborate closely with project engineers, architects, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
Ensure that project documentation is maintained meticulously, including records of progress, daily reports, and incident reports.
Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success, adjusting strategies as necessary to keep the project on track.
Mentor and guide site staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the team.
Monitor budget adherence and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on oil and gas projects.
Proven experience managing construction sites effectively, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards, and quality control measures.
Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adapt to change, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage but not mandatory.
