The selected construction coordinator will have to carry out the following main tasks:
Oversee the construction activities related to structural, mechanical, piping and pipeline work packages and minor E&I scope.
Provide assistance to the Project Manager and Project Engineer by reviewing the construction documentation submitted by the Contractors (Approved for construction drawings such as ISOs, P&IDs, Construction procedures/method statements, execution plan and schedule).
Provide technical construction assistance for timely resolution of technical construction issues and quality anomalies/non-conformities that arise at the site.
Ensure that the project quality plan and relevant Inspection Test Plan are implemented during construction and that the relevant quality control reports are issued.
Coordinate contractors' pre-commissioning activities and guarantee that mechanical completion is achieved on time, with no punch list items affecting the commissioning and readiness for start-up activities.
Coordinate with the site HSE management team for the safe delivery of the work.
Coordinate with the Plant Production Manager and Contractors of different work packages to allow smooth execution of the works, avoiding any critical simultaneous operations.
Participate in HSE Coordination meetings and manage the emission and approval of work permits.
What do you need to succeed?
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction coordination activities for piping and mechanical work packages.
Knowledge of industrial plants, production processes of industrial gases, Spanish norms and regulations about site construction works and safety, and Permit to Work procedures.
Conversant with industrial plant standards (API, ASME, PED, etc.).
Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
