The Job

The purpose of this role is to lead and set strategic direction in terms of the Congress Sales for Kuoni Tumlare. This role drives performance that leads the sales department towards significant growth within all congress segments. Develops the segment market budget together with the other Client Relations Executive & Head of Congress. Obtains profound business insights through research and analysis that supports the overall development of the segment. Leads and develops a focused team responsible for new business acquisition, sales key account management and reactivation of dormant potential clients. Also develops, reviews and establishes a sales strategy within the defined area of responsibility in-line with overall company objectives, always ensuring client satisfaction is delivered to maintain positive ongoing relationships and further improve the financial performance of the unit.
Continuously develop, implement and execute the overall sales strategy and guiding principles to deliver profitable growth throughout the area of responsibility.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships and interface at senior levels with substantial external clients throughout the area of responsibility, represent the organisation externally when required, for PCO and Housing clients.
Monitor market and competitor activity, identifying growth areas and drive growth by expanding into new markets and segments.
Create budgets and offers for the clients.
Database research and sales calls.
Supports the inclusion of sustainability within the division's workflow, including sustainable strategy explanations, references and specific sustainability proposals in commercial presentations and pitches.
Proactively identifies business risks and acts promptly to mitigate them/minimise their impact.
Demonstrate and promote thought leadership through displaying and sharing knowledge, expertise and coaching/mentoring others.
Ensure all business activities comply with relevant financial, industry compliance, legislative, legal demands and ethical standards of the organisation.
Responsible for the pro-active association marked development of the area of responsibility.
Responsible for planning, coordination and performing sales activities for the assigned area.
Implements strategies and guiding principles with regards to congress sales.
Develops source market knowledge and expertise.
Drives sales and GOP growth.
Responsible for client relationship management, competitor analysis and improving sales quality within the area of responsibility.
Assures optimized and accurate CRM management throughout the organisation.
Executes congress industry related market research.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality / business administration / marketing / event management/ data management/project management.
Fluency in English and at least 1 or 2 other European languages (French, German, Spanish).
Strong IT literacy.
Experience with association or corporate sales.
Active client database.

Experience with PCO and association business is a plus.
