Position Overview:Eye Care Physicians and Surgeons, PC, is seeking a dedicated Board-Certified or Board Eligible Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join their patient-first practice. This rapidly growing practice focuses on delivering compassionate care to a diverse patient base, primarily from a large and expanding retirement community. This role offers flexible scheduling between two locations: Winchester, VA, and Woodstock, VA, with an option to perform surgeries if desired.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload starting at 15 patients per day, aiming to increase to 30-35 patients daily.Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care to a variety of patients, prioritizing clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.Option to perform surgeries if desired (hospital privileges required).Collaborate with a supportive team that includes scribes, technicians, and receptionists.Engage in community outreach and education programs as needed.Ensure high standards in patient care, clinical outcomes, and timely chart completion.Essential Skills and ExperienceBoard Certification: Required, open to most specialties except retina.Experience: Open to both new graduates and experienced ophthalmologists.Hospital Privileges: Required for candidates who wish to perform surgeries. Support is provided for obtaining privileges.Call Schedule: Optional. For surgical roles, a 7-day on-call rotation per month is available; no on-call required for non-surgical roles.EMR System: Familiarity with Modernize Medicine (EMA) is preferred but not mandatory.Location: Open to candidates willing to relocate or who live within an hour's commute of Winchester or Woodstock, VA.Flexibility: Flexibility in how many days are spent at each practice location.BenefitsHealth Insurance: 70% employer-paid (30% employee contribution).
