Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team at our Madrid office.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and executing purchasing strategies, ensuring seamless procurement management aligned with project milestones, and negotiating with a diverse range of vendors globally.
Key Responsibilities: Formulate purchasing strategies for the company and individual projects.
Ensure procurement activities align with project milestones.
Anticipate and mitigate procurement risks to meet project deadlines.
Collaborate with a broad network of companies and clients worldwide.
Negotiate terms with vendors from various categories and countries.
Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure the best pricing and delivery terms.
Analyze potential vendors based on material requirements and project specifications.
Participate in developing negotiation strategies to optimize outcomes and foresee potential issues.
Assess vendor performance to ensure compliance with project standards and timelines.
Handle supplementary agreements, back charges, acceleration plans, and liquidated damages efficiently.
Utilize experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), reimbursable, and fast-track projects.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Proficient in procurement software and tools.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
Relevant procurement and supply chain certifications are desirable (e.G., CIPS, CPSM).
