We are looking for an experienced Compliance & Data Protection Manager for our central Compliance & Data Protection team for a fixed-term contract of one year to cover a maternity leave.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE: Supporting the different FREENOW markets (in particular the Polish market) and departments (Revenue Assurance, Rider and Driver Care, Product, Tech, Marketing, IT, etc.) in regards to data protection related topics and projects (supported by local DPOs) Management and improvement of processes for the fulfilment of requests to exercise GDPR rights Reviewing and negotiation of data protection agreements Reviewing and implementation of data protection requirements during service provider on- and offboarding Planning and execution of data protection projects within the FREENOW app Carrying out of Transfer Impact and Data Protection Impact Assessments Carrying out of Legitimate Interest Assessments Development and administration of data protection and compliance trainings Preparation of compliance and data protection reporting Updating compliance and data protection related regulations and policies Assistance to the Head of Compliance & Data Protection with assessment and handling of data breaches and notifications to data protection authorities Reviewing and alignment on technical and organisational measures with the Information Security and IT department Providing compliance support to colleagues as needed (e.g., conducting third-party due diligence and screening, assisting with internal investigations, managing the whistleblowing channel) TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: University degree in law, information technology, management or similar 3+ years experience in a similar position preferably in the tech industry Knowledge of data protection and privacy laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation Data Privacy Certification favourable but not mandatory Experience in conducting AI ethics and risk assessments would be an advantage Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy issues in a simple way to a wide range of stakeholders Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects in a structured and easily understandable way Process-oriented and independent work style Fluency in English is mandatory and ideally another language (nice to have: Polish) BENEFITS & PERKS IN A NUTSHELL: Flexible working arrangements LinkedIn Learning Sabbatical & special leave policies WeRoad partnership Birthday, 24th + 31st December off Short term EU work policy Mobility Credit Health Insurance Employee assistance program Plus more local benefits depending on your work location!
