We are looking for experienced Care Experts that have worked with complex needs children from the ages of 5 to 18 years old. The role will involve being out in the community with young people on a 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 basis and can include physical outdoor and indoor activities such as (but not exclusively) hiking, climbing and swimming. The learning difficulties that are present can be highly functioning Autism, ADHD, EBD, Speech & Language disorders, moderate & severe learning difficulties & other associated behavioural difficulties This role may also involve personal care. In particular we have awaiting support packages for 14-16 year olds with complex needs and those in transition from child to adulthood. Although we try to be flexible where we can, we do require you to be flexible with us too, that's why we will require you to work between the hours of 7am and 10pm and have weekend availability every other weekend. Roles and Responsibilities as a Complex Needs Child Support Expert Providing personal care duties Administering medication Maintaining accurate records Time keeping skills essential Engage with customer in planned activities of their choice Manual handling, using equipment where required Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their life to the full Your Experience and Suitability for the Complex Needs Child Support Expert role It is essential that you have previous experience with working with children with complex needs, as well as children with challenging behaviour. The successful candidate must be willing to have an Adult & Children enhanced DBS. Full training will also be given.
