Get a glimpse of how we learn here.Ready for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure?ROLE OVERVIEWThis role is quite plainly to be the embodiment of Learnlife Eco Hub and all it stands for, the living heart and soul of the community. You will collaborate with the Space Team, you will inhabit the front line interaction with all the learners and families that enter, enjoy and leave the space. You will rapidly identify connections among people and organisations and be able to understand and communicate all the relationships in the Learnlife ecosystem. You will have strong empathy skills and understanding of local language, culture, values, traditions and humour. You will also strive to create community with parents, partners and visitors to the space.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESOversee safe, smooth, and welcoming entry times at the Eco Hub.Open and set up the space in the morning.Assist the Space Team and Hub Lead in the day to day operational tasks and anything that might come up during the day.Assist with parent and family communications: learner' absences, tardiness, early leaves, first aid, and keep them informed of any other issues.Oversee monthly parent newsletters, including website content and pictures of learners in action.Maintain basic records (entrance, allergies, lunch) of people that enter the space digitally.Manage phone interactions with parents of existing learners and parents asking for information regarding our programs.Host visits of prospective families, parents, and interested partners in education.Participate and assist in the coordination and communication of events.Manage the purchasing of supplies, improve processes and find efficiencies.Manage interactions with providers and co-workers (such as copy machine, maintenance requests, etc).Set up and clean up lunch routines and catering.NEEDED SKILLS & EXPERIENCETotal fluency in English and Spanish, Catalan a plus.1-2 years of experience working and interacting with 6 to 12 year-olds in summer camps, education, or extra-curricular activities.Service oriented leadership, with excellent people skills.Experience with office management, reception and hospitality.Ability to learn new apps and systems for communication with families.Flexibility to handle shifting priorities and be highly intuitive.Able to initiate, improvise, and negotiate the daily micro-events - both expected and unexpected.High level collaboration skills
