Our vision for Haiti: joyful children, healthy families, thriving communities, and the resources to make it so.Role Purpose:Under the supervision of the Public Health Manager, the Community Health Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the implementation of community-based strategies aimed at increasing vaccine uptake in two municipalities in Southern Haiti. The coordinator will be responsible for assisting with communication efforts, community mobilization, and coordination with local institutions to ensure effective outreach to zero-dose and under immunized children. The Community Health Coordinator will also oversee and provide guidance to Community Health Workers (CHWs) in these municipalities, ensuring that program activities are effectively carried out, monitored, and documented. The coordinator will work closely with the Public Health Manager to track vaccine uptake, gather data for reporting, and adjust strategies as needed to meet project goals.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supervising CHWsCoordinating with local institutionsSupporting communication and mobilization effortsEnsuring accurate monitoring and reporting on project progressThis is a national position based full-time in Les Cayes, Haiti.Essential Duties and Tasks:Provide supervision to CHWsPromote vaccine awareness and integration with other health areasCollaborate with health centers to organize follow-up visits on missed immunization appointmentsAssess service delivery and provide on-the-job training to health facility staff.Plan and support community awareness activities to promote immunization.Assess facility operations and support activities to reach zero-dose and under-immunized children.Monitor immunization progress, collect data, and report on key indicators.Document project activities, lessons learned, and success stories, and submit regular reports to the Public Health Manager.Attend local and regional MSPP and healthcare partners events, trainings, meetings, and other Healthcare Events on behalf of HFHManage budget lines related to programmatic activities to ensure cost-effective use of resources and submit monthly Purchase Order (PO) requests
