This position can be located in our Madrid, Vigo, or San Sebastián factory.A Regional Supplier Quality Engineer – Metal machining & Assembly ensures products from metal machining operations (milling, grinding, drilling, cutting etc. including assembly) comply with safety and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesDefine qualification requirements (PPAP) as part of outsourcing / new product introduction projects (PDP) and ensure they are met according to project's timing with no post qualification quality escapes.Perform audits and assessments in supplier's factories and follow up on supplier's quality issues, driving them for successful resolution and closure using Otis quality tools and according to Otis quality policies and procedures.Communicate actively with external electrical product suppliers as well as internal customers / Otis factories, Engineering, Manufacturing and Field functions.Regularly communicate the status and progress of work to function and regional / global Management.Travel 40% to 60% of the time.QualificationsThe ideal candidate is a graduated and experienced Mechanical Quality Engineer, with demonstrable experience in resolving product quality issues and knowledge of industry standards.
