A better future?We're Lear For You.Position: Commodity BuyerLocation: Technical Center in Valls, SpainThis role focuses on commodity purchasing for TC component products in Europe with support for other regions, for E-Systems.Responsibilities:Support the development and implementation of TC component strategy and own day-to-day actionsSingle point of contact for suppliers and cross-functional teams for all TC related activities in EuropeDevelop new commodity suppliers according to strategy and monitor their implementation within LearAchieve commodity savings targets by negotiating and implementing Supply Cost Technical Optimization (SCTO)Support the entire product life cycle from the procurement phase of new customer programs through mass production to end of lifeLead TC component commodity initiatives for assigned vendors, including sourcing new and existing TC component spend (RFQs, benchmarking, negotiation rounds, bid and scenario analysis to source proposal submissions, resources, annual negotiations and special initiatives, etc.
)Management of TC Directed suppliersSupport the development of regional commodity and supplier strategiesAlign goals, strategies, actions with plants, program teams and commodity managerOrganize and coordinate supplier workshops with Engineering to work on cost reduction ideas and implement themEnsure alignment of resources / processes and global procedures and delegation of authority (DOA) through SRM, SAP and Coupa systemsSystem maintenance with price list updates, supplier contracts, parts approvals and other day-to-day administrative tasksMaintaining a good knowledge of the current market and future trends to support the identification of alternative sourcesSupport plants on logistics and quality issues with suppliersRequirements:Engineering or Business Administration degree preferred with work experience (if possible for automotive and TC components), not requiredVery good negotiation skills and knowledge of the English languageGood communication skills in a global organization, ability to solve problems and analysis, independent, highly trustworthy person, team playerGood time and workload management #J-18808-Ljbffr
